Mysterious Ways 2026: A Tale of Three Netanyahus, Two Mamdanis, and Two Ugandas - Along with a True Democratic Socialist Decolonial Hero and an Islamist-Cannibal Antihero
Prologue:
It's said that 'the L'rd works in mysterious ways.' If true, it's probably seldom been truer than this summer. Consider the following sequence of cross-causal historical confluences now reaching some sort of 'Divine Closure' ...
(And perhaps buckle-up first, as the SHEER VOLUME of JAW-DROPPING 'coincidences' here would make NOT seeing some strange Kabbalistic 'Divine Hand' at work all but impossible - WITHOUT benefit of Rachel Maddow, Glenn Beck, or Oliver Stone) ...
Our Tale:
This week, Uganda unveiled a 50th anniversary memorial monument to Yoni Netanyahu - mastermind, hero, and sole innocent casualty of the famed Israeli hostage-rescue and hijacker-liquidation operation at Entebbe Airport. (If you're not familiar with this notoriously sordid 'palestinian' atrocity and the characteristically miraculous Israeli response, please google it.)
Why did this happen in Uganda? Because its then-dictator, 'Idi Amin,' was an islamist allied with Arafat's PLO, happy to volunteer 'his' country at the center of Africa as a safe haven where 'palestinian' (Arafat was Egyptian) criminals could hold innocent hostages from everywhere in the world at what was thought would be a safe distance from any possible rescue attempt by civilized people.
Amin was also, notoriously, not only a murderous islamist but also a psychotic literal cannibal who engaged personally in sadistic torture rituals performed upon his political opponents before ... again, literally ... eating them. In the end, this all proved too much for ...
My (authentic) democratic socialist decolonial hero Julius K. Nyerere. (If you don't know Nyerere, please look him up - and read his 'Uhuru na Ujamaa' ('Freedom and Socialism'), who oversaw the building of a capitalist-shock-resistant, ground-up, genuine people's economy in Tanzania from the mid-1960s to the mid-1980s. Amin attempted to invade Tanzania in 1977. Bad idea...
Within two years, Nyerere's Tanzania had turned the tables, taken Uganda's capital Kampala, and (quite charitably, I think you'll agree) exiled Amin before, mission accomplished, returning to Tanzania. (Would that WE could 'get things done' and then quickly 'go' as Nyerere did.)
Amin was ultimately given a home in Saudi Arabia, where he lived another 24 years before croaking. (The record is silent on his culinary indulgences during 'the Saudi Period.' Had he lived 15 more years, maybe he would have been fed Jamaal Khashoggi.)
The new Uganda that followed Amin's rule, the one that has just celebrated Yoni, said through its Chief of Defense Forces earlier this year that 'We want the war in the Middle East to end now. The world is tired of it.' He then added: 'Any talk of destroying or defeating Israel will bring us into the war. On the side of Israel!'
Quite a change. But please hold that thought, as there's more. For, ...
Before being ousted from Uganda by authentic decolonizing nation-liberating democratic socialist Nyerere, Amin had several years earlier exiled most of the South Asian community of Uganda, who had earlier been imported as indentured labor by British colonial authorities much as Egyptians, Jordanians, and some others who now call themselves 'palestinians' were imported by the British administrators of British Mandate Palestine from the early 1920s down to the mid 1940s.
Ironically, among those exiled by Amin in this 1972 purge was one mahmood mamdani, whose family had moved to Uganda as settlers in 1952. This same mahmood later became a Columbia professor whose latest book, put out LAST YEAR (2025), argues that hijacker-host, islamist cannibal, and authentic-decolonial-socialist-state-INVADER Idi Amin really wasn't such a bad guy, but was simply misunderstood. In actual fact, we are told, he was a hero of decolonization and national liberation (even if bought and paid for by foreign petrostates and the PLO).
Perhaps unsurpringly, mahmood to this day champions cretinous entities including hamas and Arafat's PLO. He deems their rapes, murders of babies and old folk and other innocents, beheadings, human-shield-takings, suicide bombings, and like psychotic episodes 'legitimate war methods.' What 'law' he thinks underwrites the 'legality' in that 'legitimate' is anyone's guess. Maybe his son knows - read on.
Meanwhile, ...
The same year that mahmood's new book came out, his son won the mayoral election in NYC, then became Mayor at the start of this year. Since then he - like is father, a member of the bizarre 12ver cult of messianic shi'ism - has busied himself attempting to commandeer US foreign policy from Gracie Mansion.
His administration first attempted illegally to meet with representatives of Iran's 12ver mullah regime during wartime, till that was discovered by the Department of State.
The baby mayor then attempted to cook up a literally impossible 'legal' argument for 'arresting' a foreign head-of-state next month on the strength of a 'warrant' issued by the 'ICC,' a near-death entity that lacks any relevant jurisdiction under international law notwithstanding baby mayor's routine ritual incantation of that phrase - for the obvious and obviously not unknown reason that neither the US, Israel, or any other Middle Eastern country for that matter (or China, or India, or well over half of humanity) are signatory to this strange entity's founding treaty.
When his 'legal department' apparently 'informed' him of this, as if he hadn't already known, Idi's celebrator mahmood's child wasn't content. He appointed HIMSELF prosecutor, judge, and jury in an official video clip produced in the public's own Mayor's Office behind the public's own Mayoral Desk which quite dwarfed the poor devil.
There he purported to speak real live legalese, informing us unctuously that the foreign head-of-state in question was (somehow) 'a war criminal,' responsible for 'a horrific genocide.' All of this, mind you, notwithstanding that literally no such putatively 'legal' findings have ever, anywhere been made - and that even all knowingly fatuous claims to this effect, now comprehensively debunked, are quietly being withdrawn. (As always with Jew-hate Blood Libels, only after the damage to yet-again innocent Jewry has been done, the words now entrenched and incessantly repeated by assholes and idiots everywhere to this day).
The comical grandiosity of this risible publicly-funded stunt was of course worthy of daddy mahmood's decolonial hero, the cannibal Tanzania-invading Idi Amin himself, who was renowned in his day for his exhibitionist faux-magnanimity in, among other things, reassuringly shouting 'Shalom!' in greeting to Jews he was holding captive for Arafat, thereafter grandly beaming and avuncularly chuckling each day like everyone's savior-daddy (his nickname was 'Dada' - meant more as papa than art-provocateur, one presumes) in promising that 'a solution' was 'at hand.'
A penultimate irony bears noting here: The original issuer of the 'warrant' in which baby mamdani made his grandstand was none other than one Karim Asad Ahmad Khan, brother of ... yep, convicted child sex offender Imran Nasir Ahmad Khan (I know - 'you can't make this shit up') ... who at the time sat on the aforementioned 'ICC.' Only last month, THIS Khan, TOO, was charged with sexual predation, and has just been removed from the 'ICC,' which seems unlikely now to survive as an institution as erstwhile members depart.
Why do I call this latter a 'penultimate' irony?
Because I haven't yet named the foreign head-of-state baby mamdani pretended to be Mayor in pretending to be able to 'arrest' for pretend 'crimes,' who affords us the truly final - and indeed exquisite - irony. More like Divine retribution, actually ...
For I allude, of course, to Bibi Netanyahu, younger brother of the aforementioned Yoni Netanyahu, the hero of Entebbe now memorialized in a saner, Amin-free Uganda that seeks healthy relations with civilized countries and mentally healthy humans worldwide.
Bibi, as Israelis well know, has devoted his entire life's work to carrying on the heroic work of his big brother. And the L'rd, it would seem, has helped out. For behold (reading '->' here as 'led directly to') ...

Consider the arrows in each of the three rows, which summarize all of the tales I've just told above. If you think about it for a moment, I think you'll agree that the correspondence between the two columns is remarkable. Column 1 is a 1970s story. Column 2 is a 50-years-later story, literally each salient part of which was causally produced by its salient counterpart of the predecessor story.
'Full circle,' no?
Indeed, full: For just as Yoni 'won' notwithstanding the sacrifice of his young life, so is Bibi now winning notwithstanding the sacrifice of anything resembling a happy life of his own - as witness both the steady destruction of the cretinous entities mentioned above (hamas, hezo, houthis, their 12ver mullah parent company, ...) and, of course, the newly friendly Uganda itself, ...
... of which daddy and baby mamdani claim still TO THIS DAY to be 'citizens.' Would an 'LOL' be inapposite here?
Epilogue:
On a final, somewhat more personal (and I must confess chest-tightening, tear-drawing) note ...
It was Ithaca NY, where I teach, to which the young Bibi Netanyahu drove from Boston fifty years ago last month to inform his parents that Yoni had died at Entebbe.
Dr. Benzion Netanyahu was then a renowned historian teaching Jewish history at my university, Cornell. Bibi was then a student at MIT in Cambridge MA. Immediately after Yoni's death, the whole family moved back to Israel.
Benzion lived until I'd been at Cornell nearly a decade - in 2012, aged 102, in Jerusalem. His son, Yoni's brother Bibi, still fights.
